The SEC is historically labeled as one of the most prominent conferences in college football. The East and West divisions of the SEC have proven to be more even and fairly matched than the East and West divisions of the B1G. With super-conferences aligning, it appears that the B1G and the SEC will monopolize the CFB landscape, and in doing so will eliminate the need for East and West divisions at all. This could be the final season where we have two divisions in a conference. The world of college football is changing day by day, and we must do our part to keep up. Notre Dame is the most notorious team that has yet to align with a major conference. With pressure from the ACC and other P5 conferences, the Fighting Irish may be faced with some tough decisions in the coming months. The ACC remains strong, but their management must play their cards right to stay atop as one of the top conferences in the nation. The Conference Carousel has been good to some conferences, and bad to others; but only time will tell how these changes will affect the overall landscape of college football.
