The BIG 12 has proven itself as a top-tier conference in CBB. It's fair to say that the majority of teams making up the BIG 12 will be contenders come March: Kansas, Kansas State, Texas, TCU, and Iowa State have made impacts in their own right to be in the conversation amongst the best. The CBB fanbase can prepare for the BIG 12/SEC challenge this weekend where many top performers will go head to head for some CBB action. Among these games features HOF coaches Bill Self and John Calipari, as the Jayhawks will take on the Wildcats on 1/28. The Georgia Bulldogs outplayed the TCU Horned frogs winning their second Natty in a row, 65-7. The Horned Frogs didn't show up. Expectations for TCU to play well were high, but Georgia's dominance prevailed in a major way. CBB is in full swing, and March will be here before we know it. Tune in. The BCS has taken a back seat since the CFP has been introduced, but the truth is, BCS bowls outside of the CFP still exist, only now they're considered part of the New Years Six. Starting with the Orange Bowl, the Vols best the Clemson Tigers, 31-14. Up next in the Sugar Bowl, Bryce Young and Alabama smoked Kansas State, 45-20. For the Cotton Bowl, Tulane beats USC in a nail-biter, and in the Rose Bowl Penn State beats Utah, 35-21. The Fiesta Bowl ends in heartbreak for the Michigan Wolverines after the TCU Horned frogs win the Fiesta Bowl, 51-45. And finally in the Peach Bowl, UGA wins 42-41 against OSU after Noah Ruggles misses the winning FG as time expires. The final dance will feature TCU and UGA.  Tune in. One more day. The CFP is looming, and both Sam and Cody have been losing sleep. Their Wolverines are set to face-off against the TCU Horned Frogs tomorrow in game one of two of the CFP Semis. We've been blessed to experience a large slate of bowl games over the past week, with plenty of them being thrillers. The bettors have found themselves in an interesting predicament. Newcomer Connor Matlock joins the GCP as the crew discusses the bowl games we've seen so far. We're balls deep into bowl season, and we couldn't be happier. In light of these bowl games, the transfer portal is more active than ever. Several transfers have been confirmed, while many players have entered the portal without a confirmed destination. The panel makes the interesting comparison between the transfer portal (CFB) to free agency (NFL). Juwan Howard makes headlines again after he was caught on camera attempting to fight a referee while shooing his own players away after they attempted to control him. Tom Izzo also gets a tech during the Spartans' latest contest against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The important aspect to note here is that Coach Izzo was sporting an elf sweater.
