One more day. The CFP is looming, and both Sam and Cody have been losing sleep. Their Wolverines are set to face-off against the TCU Horned Frogs tomorrow in game one of two of the CFP Semis. We've been blessed to experience a large slate of bowl games over the past week, with plenty of them being thrillers. The bettors have found themselves in an interesting predicament. Newcomer Connor Matlock joins the GCP as the crew discusses the bowl games we've seen so far. We're balls deep into bowl season, and we couldn't be happier. In light of these bowl games, the transfer portal is more active than ever. Several transfers have been confirmed, while many players have entered the portal without a confirmed destination. The panel makes the interesting comparison between the transfer portal (CFB) to free agency (NFL). Juwan Howard makes headlines again after he was caught on camera attempting to fight a referee while shooing his own players away after they attempted to control him. Tom Izzo also gets a tech during the Spartans' latest contest against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The important aspect to note here is that Coach Izzo was sporting an elf sweater. Michigan beats OSU for the second consecutive year. The last time this happened was 22 years ago, before Musa was even born. Wow, time flies - but damn it feels good. The entire panel has something to cheer about after this Michigan win. The Wolverines have cemented their spot in the CFP at No. 2, given they beat Purdue in the B1G Championship. The GIN Pros. power rankings have been declared, and we'll have one more chance to give our projections following Championship week after this weekend's slate of championship games. The CFP has grown and evolved, and we've seen plenty of movement in-and-out of the top four spots. CBB is here, as the Phil Knight Invitational and the Phil Knight Legacy took place over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Controversy was plentiful in the UNC v. Drake Maye continues to impress us, earning him a SOG (shot of GIN) this week with UNC's 36-34 win over Wake Forest. Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns lose at home to the now 10-0 TCU Horned Frogs, earning the Texas QB a SOG (tears) with one of the lowest QBR's we've ever seen. The new GIN CFP rankings have been released, and things are beginning to solidify as the weeks are winding down in the CFB regular season. CBB is among us, and some big games have given us an early look into how this season may play out.
